Job Description

The University of Arkansas seeks applications for the position of Director of Financial Services, R0069328. The Director of Financial Services oversees accounts payable, payroll, financial aid reconciliation, and the general accounting and fixed assets functions of the university. The incumbent recommends related policies and reports directly to the associate vice chancellor for finance. This position is governed by state and federal laws and institution policy.

Required Qualifications:  An earned bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, or a related field of study in a business discipline from an accredited college or university. A minimum of four (4) years of professional experience in accounting or financial management in progressively responsively positions.

Preferred Qualifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate and/or MBA; Prior work experience in public higher education; Four (4) years of progressive management and direct supervision experience; Familiarity with the State of Arkansas or public higher education fiscal and accounting processes and procedures; Experience with Workday and/or Ellucian Banner.
