Tim Montgomery
Tim joined the Arkansas State Board of Public Accountancy as an investigator in 2013. He became Executive Director in May 2023. Tim graduated from the University of Houston – Downtown with a BBA in Accounting in 1992 and passed the CPA exam in 1993. Before joining the State Board, Tim spent most of his career in internal auditing, including Internal Audit Director for USAble Life and Dyersburg State Community College. He lives in Jacksonville, AR with his wife Charlotte. They have four children (ages 30, 29, 24, and 15), three daughters-in-law, and 2.6 perfect grandsons.
Stephanie Watson
Stephanie F. Watson, Ph.D., CPA, has been on the faculty of the University of Central Arkansas Accounting Department since 2003. She currently serves as the department's chairperson. Stephanie has taught Accounting Information Systems, Cost Accounting, Principles of Accounting, and Accounting Case Studies. Stephanie is also involved in Curriculum and Assessment, has co-authored a textbook, and has been published in the Journal of Accounting Education, The CPA Journal, and Oil, Gas, and Energy Quarterly, among others. Stephanie has been honored with the Arkansas Society of CPA's Distinguished Achievement in Accounting Education, Outstanding Beta Alpha Psi Advisor, and service and teaching awards from UCA's College of Business. She received a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D., all in accounting from Louisiana State University. Prior to graduate school, Stephanie worked in corporate accounting for seven years.
Thomas Hayes
Dr. Hayes is a clinical associate professor of accounting at the University of Arkansas. He currently teaches auditing, advanced accounting, and principles of accounting. He received his bachelor's degree from Westminster College (MO), his master's from the University of Missouri, and his doctorate from the University of North Texas. His primary research interests are in the auditing and accounting education areas. He is also a CPA in Oklahoma.
Vernon Richardson
Vernon J. Richardson is Distinguished Professor of Accounting and the Glezen Chair in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. He received his BA, MAcc, and MBA from Brigham Young University and a PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Dr. Richardson enjoys teaching at all levels, and is passionate about revolutionizing accounting curricula with data analytics, as evidenced by his six coauthored McGraw-Hill textbooks all emphasizing analytics. He recently won Outstanding Accounting Educator awards from both the American Accounting Association and the AICPA. He was formerly an editor at Accounting Horizons and at the Accounting Review. He has published articles in the Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Contemporary Accounting Research, MIS Quarterly, Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Operations Management, and Journal of Marketing.
But he is proudest of all of his wife and 12 children.

Joseph Maslott
Joseph Maslott, CPA, is the Associate Director – Content Management with the AICPA Examinations team since 2006. Mr. Maslott has over 20 years of accounting experience and began his career at PwC. He then joined AT&T World Headquarters and E*TRADE Financial in management positions in accounting. As a lead CPA on the AICPA Examinations team, he has served in various roles including Staff Liaison for the AUD subcommittee and business owner of Simulation Development for all sections of the Exam. Currently, Mr. Maslott is the staff lead of the CPA Evolution practice analysis, a research project designed to document the scope of entry-level practice as well as serve as the foundation for the Exam's validity and legal defensibility.
Jose Lineros
Dr. Jose Lineros teaches Accounting Information Systems (AIS), Advanced Data Analytics, IT Audit, and Internal Audit at the University of North Texas in Denton. With extensive prior experience teaching MIS and computer science at UT Dallas, Texas A&M-Commerce, and Brookhaven College, he brings a wealth of practical and theoretical knowledge to his presentations. Dr. Lineros holds a PhD in Educational Psychology, a Master's in Telecommunications from the University of Dallas, and a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington. His professional credentials include Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Cybersecurity Nexus (CSX), and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS). He has published extensively in renowned journals and frequently lectures on emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, mobile security, and Wi-Fi vulnerabilities. Dr. Lineros is an ex-President of ISACA North Texas and current holder of the DFW IIA professorship.
