Highly analytical and motivated CPA with 3-5 years of tax return preparation experience sought by small Little Rock law firm specializing in tax controversy. Firm represents clients with unique tax problems before the Federal (IRS) and State (DFA and DWS) taxing authorities, including with audits, collection, amended returns, refund claims, taxes in bankruptcy, payroll taxes, sales tax, penalty abatement requests, innocent spouse claims, business closures, forensic tax accounting, tax liens and real estate closings, fraudulent transfers, nominee and transferee assessments, cash transaction reporting violations, PPP fraud, tax return reporting positions and disclosure statements, structuring, and criminal tax matters. The Firm associates with and advises non-tax attorneys, provides expert testimony, and provides professional education to CPAs and other tax professionals.
A strong familiarity with, and comprehensive knowledge of, the substantive tax law necessary for the preparation of income tax and payroll tax returns for individuals and entities is required. Significant education and training will be provided due to the niche practice of the firm.
Expected annual compensation once a level of expertise has been achieved will be in the range of $130,000 to $195,000, but exact annual compensation may vary based on skills and experience. Benefits negotiable. Ideal candidate would be a CPA interested in pursuing a law degree while being employed.
