Matthew C. Boch is a tax attorney who helps businesses manage their tax liabilities by resolving their Arkansas and multistate tax problems and by leveraging economic development incentives. His clients range from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, and engagements range from audits to appellate litigation.
Within Arkansas, Matt is a leading tax advisor and advocate and has been recognized by Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers, and Chambers. In addition to his work for specific taxpayers, Matt helps all Arkansas taxpayers through his policy work as Tax Counsel for the State Chamber of Commerce. He is a former chair of the Arkansas Bar Association Section of Taxation and the Arkansas Tax Advisory Council. Matt also authors the Dover Dixon Horne Arkansas Tax and Incentives Update blog.
Nationally, Matt serves of the board of the National Association of State Bar Tax Sections (NASBTS) and the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Taxation State and Local Taxes Executive Committee, and he is a member of the Council on State Taxation (COST), the Institution for Professionals in Taxation (IPT), and the Independent SALT Alliance (ISA).
Richard L. Bell, JD, CPA, CVA, is the founder and CEO of Bell & Company, P.A., which is headquartered in North Little Rock, Arkansas. The firm was founded on Richard’s guiding principles of helping others achieve their financial goals. Founded in 1982, with his wife, Lee, the firm provides professional accounting and financial services delivered with competency, proficiency, timeliness, and reasonable fees. Currently, the firm has a staff of 40 professionals, with locations in North Little Rock and Conway. Richard’s areas of concentration are tax and financial consulting, as well as support litigation work.
Richard received his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas Little Rock Law School and his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Arkansas Little Rock in 1976. Richard currently serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway Arkansas, where he teaches Business Law for Entrepreneurs during the Fall Semester. .
Richard is also a member of numerous professional organizations including the Dean’s Advisory Council – University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law , the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Arkansas Society of CPAs, the Arkansas Bar Association, and the Pulaski Bar Association. Richard was recently appointed to serve as a member on the State Board of Public Accountancy.
Richard and his company are active in giving back to the community through firm donations and staff time commitments in serving the underserved and the homeless in the community. Bell & Company was recognized nationally as the AICPA Public Service Firm for the year 2011.
Bell and Company sponsors an AMBCS mountain bike team. The team consisting of 100+ members and is recognized in the state for its bike trail maintenance and advocacy volunteer work. Richard is recognized as the “slowest” over age-60 competitors in state competition; however, that does not stop him from competing in races and enjoying a more leisure bike rides with his friends Virgil and Jack. Richard attributes his success to his childhood encouragement and support of his parents; his wife, Lee (who has been his wife and partner for the past 40 years); the Bell firm team members; and highly-respected mentors.
Richard and Lee have two adult children, Clayton and Jennifer, who are already making their footprint for the betterment of society. Jennifer is an attorney and CPA who is one of the firm shareholders and manages the Conway office location. Jennifer serves on the Governor’s Transformation Advisory Board, the Community Foundation for Faulkner County, and other local community organizations. Clayton is a M.D. who is on the medical staff at the University of Tennessee, with practice emphasis on integrative medicine. Clayton is also nationally recognized for his volunteer work in Haiti and other majority world countries, through Humanity First and Where the Stars Still Shine.
