Changes to the Peer Review 2011 Scheduling Process
The Arkansas Society of CPAs’ Peer Review Department, in conjunction with the AICPA, has transitioned to the Peer Review Information System Manager (PRISM), a new Web-based system for administering and tracking peer reviews. During this conversion, firms have noticed a number of improvements that have allowed for more efficient and effective peer review administration, while maintaining the high level of customer service peer review firms expect from the Society’s Peer Review Department.
For starters, the ASCPA has moved to sending most peer review letters and correspondence via email. As more improvements are made to PRISM, scheduling and review team information will be available for submission via an online form. Until the online process becomes fully functional, the ASCPA will continue to direct peer review firms to the appropriate forms that are available for download on the Society’s website.
To ensure delivery of upcoming peer review notices, including scheduling notices for firms with peer reviews due in 2011, be sure to update the e-mail address for your firm’s managing partner and peer review contact person by calling Marsha Moffitt at the ASCPA office at (501) 664-8739 or (800) 482-8739. You may also send an email to mmoffitt@arcpa.org (please include your firm name and AICPA firm number in all e-mails). Keep in mind that confidential peer review information may be sent to the e-mail addresses you provide.
Also, be sure to add mmoffitt@arcpa.org and peerreview@arcpa.org to your e-mail safe senders list as soon as possible. Please note that peerreview@arcpa.org is for email delivery ONLY. Please do not remit any responses to that email address.
